We got started here at Hurdale in 2001. We are a family- run business, promoting horsemanship and colorful horses. The farm and programs are run by Peggie Blamire and Marie Dougherty, Joe Guinnip is our facility manager. Marie is a graduate of SUNY Morrisville and runs the lesson program. Marie also is the Western instructor for Alfred State IHSA riding team. We work together to provide shows, camps and events for the community.
Each year we offer open show events , novice and experienced rider camps in the summer, trail rides, and clinics. We also have an open horse club, "Hurdale Stampede" with no restriction on age. Last year we opened up the Stampede 4H club for horse projects at the Allegany County Fair.
We enjoy visitors, stop by and see us and enjoy the color!!
